Never in the hunt

Queensland's Joe Dawes celebrates with teammates after trapping opener Virender Sehwag leg before wicket for four in the second innings on the third and final day of India's second tour match at the Allan Border Field in Brisbane, Australia, on Monday.

The match ended in a draw as the Indians, chasing 305 runs from 65 overs for victory, finished on 121 for four from 52 overs.

Sehwag's place in the final eleven for the first Test starting Thursday must be in some doubt now. The dashing opener managed just six runs in the first innings. And earlier, in the tour opener against Victoria, he scored just 23 and 20.
