Lakshmipathy Balaji will replace Aavishkar Salvi in the team for the upcoming tour of Australia.

Salvi sustained an injury while bowling during the TVS tri-series final against Australia on Tuesday.

According to team physio Andrew Leipus, he felt acute pain in his right shoulder.

After thorough examination of the fast bowler's shoulder, Leipus felt he would not be able to make the trip as he needs at least three weeks rest.

The selectors, who were present during the match, and the team management immediately decided to include Balaji in place of Salvi.
