South Zone were 127 for the loss of three wickets on the second day of the four-day Duleep Trophy match against Central Zone, at Lalbhai stadium in Surat on Friday.

South captain Hemang Badani and Dinesh Karthick were unbeaten on 24 and 50 respectively when stumps were drawn for the day.

Earlier, resuming at the overnight score of 299 for three, Central Zone added 179 runs before being all out for 478 in their first essay.

Devendra Bundela, who was unbeaten on 15 at close on day 1, went on to score 91. Piyush Chawla also chipped in with a fine 60 to swell Central's total.

For South Zone, Ramkumar took three wickets for 95 runs while L Balaji, K Shahbuddin and Sreekumar Nair chipped in with two wickets each.
