'Sehwag has a knack of doing well against Pak'

January 15, 2006 21:15 IST

Virender Sehwag came in for praise from Pakistan coach Bob Woolmer after his unbeaten 96 on Sunday in the weather-hit first Test between India and Pakistan.

Woolmer said the swashbuckling opener has a knack of getting runs against Pakistan.

''Certain cricketers like playing against certain teams. Sehwag plays well against Pakistan,'' said Woolmer after the third day, which witnessed the Sehwag blitz in just 89 balls with 20 hits to the boundary.

The Delhi cricketer now averages a little over hundred against Pakistan. He has already hit three hundreds -- including a triple hundred and a double hundred -- against the arch rivals and is just a stroke away from his fourth one.

''I have always rated Sehwag highly. We've studied lots of ways of bowling at him and certain bowlers tend to get him out quite easily. Makhya Ntini seems to have the wood on him,'' said Woolmer.
