Yuvraj injured in practice

Harish Kotian in Mohali | October 28, 2006 10:24 IST

Indian batsman Yuvraj Singh injured his left knee during practice on Saturday. His participation in the must-win match against Australia now looks doubtful.

Yuvraj slipped during a game of kho-kho at the start of the net session.

He lay on the ground for several minutes withering in pain as physio John Gloster attended to him.

He then limped to the dressing room and looked in severe pain as he tried unsuccessfully to keep his left foot on the ground.

India's batting failed against West Indies and the loss of Yuvraj would further hurt their chances against the world champions.
