Australia elect to bat in fourth ODI

Australia captain Ricky Ponting [Images] won the toss and elected to bat in the fourth match of the triangular series one-day international against India at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday.

Australia brought in wicketkeeper-batsman Brad Haddin to play as a specialist batsman, while all-rounder James Hopes was not considered due to a slight hamstring injury.

Seam bowler Stuart Clark was also recalled with left-arm wrist spinner Brad Hogg [Images] dropping to 12th man.

India were unchanged from the side that played the abandoned match in Brisbane last Tuesday.

Australia: Ricky Ponting (captain), Adam Gilchrist [Images], Matthew Hayden [Images], Michael Clarke [Images], Mike Hussey, Andrew Symonds [Images], Brad Haddin, Brett Lee [Images], Nathan Bracken [Images], Mitchell Johnson, Stuart Clark.

India: Mahendra Singh Dhoni [Images] (captain), Sachin Tendulkar [Images], Virender Sehwag [Images], Gautam Gambhir [Images], Yuvraj Singh [Images], Robin Uthappa, Rohit Sharma, Irfan Pathan [Images], Harbhajan Singh [Images], S Sreesanth [Images], Ishant Sharma.
