Indian team bus reportedly hits car

January 09, 2008 13:03 IST

The Indian cricket team seems to have stumbled to yet another controversy while on way to Canberra after their team bus reportedly sideswiped a car parked at their hotel in Sydney.

The incident was described as a "hit and run" by an eye-witness, who called up a radio station 2UE to report the matter.

The bus reportedly grazed past a Mercedes Benz while leaving the Radisson Hotel in Sydney on way to Canberra where they are scheduled to play a practice match against ACT XI on Thursday.

The Indian team management, however, vehemently denied that any such incident took place.

"I am on the bus. We didn't hit anything," Indian media manager M V Sridhar was quoted as saying by The Australian.
