Former Test player Manoj Prabhakar feels lanky Indian pacer Ishant Sharma has lost his swing in pursuit of extra speed.

"He wants to bowl around 140mph all the time. In the process his wrist position is not keeping steady and he has lost his swing. He will have to learn quickly," said Prabhakar, now coach of the Rajasthan Ranji Trophy team for next season.

The 46-year-old former player is also not happy with Irfan Pathan, who, he feels, needs to be supple.

"Irfan has been able to lock his wrist after seeking advice from Wasim Akram, but he is still too stiff," Prabhakar said.

"A bowler has to be supple. I gave tips to RP Singh and he has finetuned himself and emerged the most successful bowler in IPL II," said the former swing bowler.

Prabhakar also hoped that Ashish Nehra would be able to make a Team India comeback.

"He is a fine bowler and hope he will make a comeback to the national team," he said.

On the Indian squad defending its ICC World Twenty20 title in England, Prabhakar singled out Virender Sehwag and said the opener needed to be patient.

"The IPL has showed the Indian opening pair of Gautam Gambhir and Sehwag was not in good form. Sehwag will have to be more patient when playing in England.

"Gambhir will soon be back to terms because he never repeats the same errors but Sehwag keeps on committing the same mistakes," said Prabhakar, who has 96 wickets in Tests and 157 in ODIs.

Speaking about his present role as Rajasthan coach, Prabhakar said the RCA had thrown him a challenge and he chose to accept it.

"I assure you if I am here for three years, I will make Rajasthan champion. The talent is there, all we have to do is instill fighting spirit. I have been assured a free hand in this," he said.
