The Patents (Amendment) Bill 1998 will be brought before the Lok Sabha on Monday December 21 ''for consideration and passing.''

This was decided at the Business Advisory Committee of the Lok Sabha on Thursday evening, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Madan Lal Khurana said.

He said the government was committed to introducting in the current session of Parliament other important bills for the creation of Uttaranchal, Vananchal and Chathisgarh.

The current session ends on December 23.

By skipping the lunch break, avoiding zero hour and sitting late at night, the house will debate the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty and the prime minister's statement on India's relations with other countries, national calamities and disinvestment in public sector undertakings, he said.
