Walchand Group chairman Gulabchand, 75, passes away

Noted industrialist Bahubali Gulabchand, chairman of the Walchand Group of Companies, passed away this afternoon at Breach Candy Hospital in South Bombay.

He was a nephew of the renowned industrialist Walchand Hirachand, according to family sources.

He was 75 years old. He is survived by his wife and three daughters.

Bahubali had been ailing since suffering a massive heart attack three months ago. He had a passion for rifle shooting and took active interest in the civilian rifle-training movement in the country. He was the president of the Air Rifle Manufacturers' Association.
