BSE denies payment crisis sparked Rs 140 million dues

The Bombay Stock Exchange has categorically denied a report appearing in a section of the media that the payment crisis in the last few weeks has resulted in dues to the extent of Rs 140 million yet to be paid to the exchange.

BSE president J C Parekh told the media today that the facts and figures appearing in the report have been misrepresented.

The media report said that four brokers's trading connectivity was de-activated by the exchange in June following the crisis.

The BSE has managed to reduce the huge liabilities by getting in the money, and that the exchange need not declare any member as a defaulter.
