Kim, Daewoo India chief, promoted to head global operations

S J Kim, vice-chairman, Daewoo Motors India Limited, has been elevated as president and chief executive officer, Daewoo Motor, Korea effective from December 27.

Kim will be based in Seoul and head all global operations of Daewoo Motor outside Korea. Also, till the time creditors appoint a new chairman, Kim will function as the representative of Daewoo Motor.

Kim took charge of his present position in India on February 17, 1997.
