NSE posts highest ever turnover

The National Stock Exchange has recorded its highest total turnover of Rs 72.16 billion since inception today.

The previous highest turnover the NSE had recorded was Rs 71.37 billion on January 5, 2000.

Meanwhile, the combined total turnover on the NSE and Bombay Stock Exchange stood at Rs 126.06 billion today.
