India's finance ministers have played a crucial role in framing policies and initiating reforms to boost the nation's economy.

The finance ministry has seen popular leaders at the helm. Indira Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, V P Singh, Manmohan Singh, P Chidambaram, Yashwant Sinha and Jaswant Singh have all been finance ministers.

While Manmohan Singh and Yashwant Sinha have presented five Budgets, P Chidambaram has six Budgets to his credit and he is set to present his seventh Budget on February 29.

What are your views on India's finance ministers? Who do you think has been India's best finance minister?

Who do you think would make the best finance minister in the current government? Tell us your views.
