It's that time of year again. With just a couple of months to go before 2007, we're nearing the deadline for sending in our official Oscar entry.

Ever since Lagaan made it to the final nominations at the Academy Awards a couple of years ago, we seem to be focussing on slick, big Bollywood productions in an attempt to entice the West. Last year, amid much controversy, Paheli was picked over Black.

This year, fans and critics are up in arms again. Three big nominees appear to be standing leagues ahead of the pack: Rang De Basanti, Lage Raho Munnabhai and Omkara.

They are three very different films, of varied style and content, but each has been groundbreaking in a year of superhits.

What's your call? Which film do you think should be India's entry for the 2007 Oscars?

Tell us.
