Om Puri to chair National Films Division Corporation rediff Entertainment Bureau | April 22, 2008 16:20 IST
Veteran actor Om Puri [Images] has been appointed as the chairman of the National Films Division Corporation. He will formally take charge on April 23, after holding a press conference. Puri was last seen in Priyadarshan's [Images] comedy, Dhol. The actor also had an important role in the Hollywood film, Charlie Wilson's War, which also stars Tom Hanks [Images] and Julia Roberts [Images]. Puri plays the late Pakistan President Zia-Ul-Haq in the film.
