When the goddess batted her eyelids...

The priest of the Nagathamman temple, located in the western suburbs of Kodungaiyur near Madras, claims that the presiding deity ''batted her eyelids'' on Wednesday night.

He informed some local residents about the ''miracle'', following which people made a beeline to the temple.

The police were notified, too, but they failed to find anything unusual.

Anyway, elaborate security arrangements have been made at the temple.
