Veerappan's hostage Nagraj turns up in Talawadi

Fakir Chand in Bangalore

Nagraj aka Nagappa, who was kidnapped by sandalwood smuggler Veerappan along with Kannada superstar Dr Rajakumar on July 31, is reported to have surfaced in Talawadi, near Gajanur village on the Karnataka-Tamil Nadu border, on Thursday evening.

Home ministry sources in Bangalore, while confirming the news, said they were yet to make official contact with Nagappa.

Sources, however, said the hostage was set free by Veerappan, and possibly carries an important communication about the thespian's release.
