Li Peng leaves for China

Senior Chinese leader and chairman of the National People's Congress Li Peng left for Beijing Wednesday after a nine-day official visit to the country.

Peng was accompanied by NPC's Vice Chairman Buhe, Zhou Gang, Ambassador of China to India, Zhau Liujiang, Deputy Director General-Central Security Bureau, Zhang Zhijian, Director General-Foreign Affairs Bureau and other officials.

During his two-hour visit to the city, Peng visited the hi-tech city at Madhapur before leaving.

He was seen off by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, state Home Minister T Devender Goud and senior civil and police officials at Begumpet Airport.

Naidu presented a replica of hi-tech city to Peng at the airport.
