There is tight security in Patna, Bihar, for Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Laloo Prasad Yadav's lathi rally on Wednesday.

The state intelligence has warned that anti-social elements might try to disrupt the rally, according to police sources.

The roads in Patna are filled with thousands of people who have come to attend the event.

Nearly 5000 policemen have been deployed.

Top police and home department officials held a meeting on Tuesday to review the arrangements for the rally.

Patna has been divided into six sectors, while the site where the rally will be held -- the Gandhi Maidan -- has been divided into four.

District administration officials said each sector would be manned by sufficient number of security forces.

There will also be ambulances and fire units in each sector.

All vehicles will be checked for bombs. Ministers and legislators will not be allowed to take their bodyguards with them to the Gandhi Maidan.
