Khatri, owner of a restaurant in Vasant Kunj in south Delhi, is believed to be among those who benefited from some favourable judgments by former Delhi high court judge Shameet Mukherjee, allegedly handed down in exchange for pecuniary and other gains.

During the proceedings, Mukherjee also agreed to under a voice test, as per the demand of the Central Bureau of Investigation.

Some of the evidence in the hands of the CBI is in the form of taped conversations between the judge and the other accused in the scam.
