Pakistan Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali on Wednesday said chances of a one-to-one meeting with his Indian counterpart, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, cannot be ruled out when the latter attends the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation summit in January in Islamabad.

"I think he will be coming for SAARC conference. I cannot rule out the meeting. We will extend full protocol to him. Hope there will be some reciprocity too," Jamali told reporters at an Eid function.

He said the ceasefire agreed upon by the two countries could have a positive impact in creating an environment conducive for settling their differences over Kashmir.

The ceasefire came into effect Tuesday midnight.

India, while confirming Vajpayee's participation in the SAARC summit, has ruled out any one-to-one Vajpayee-Jamali or Vajpayee-Musharraf meeting.
