Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu YadavCharging the authorities with hatching a conspiracy to get him eliminated, incarcerated Rashtriya Janata Dal Lok Sabha member from Madhepura Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav on Saturday sat on an indefinite fast inside Beur Jail in Patna.

The MP's representative Surendra Singh Yadav said, in a press release, that Ranjan, lodged in the jail in connection with the murder of Communist Party of India-Marxist MLA Ajit Sarkar, has accused Jail Superintendent Dilip Kumar Singh of 'plotting to get him (Pappu) finished' by allowing visitors to have an audience from 'an unsafe window'.

He also alleged that the jail authorities were not shifting him to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi despite the recommendation of a medical board that had examined the RJD MP who claims to be ailing.

When contacted, the jail superintendent confirmed that the undertrial (Pappu Yadav) was on a hunger strike seeking special arrangements for facilitating his meeting with visitors.
