Pokemon, one of the world's most successful game and cartoon series, has now become a rage with Indian kids.

The craze for Pokemon stickers, plastic stamps, trading cards, books, CDs and video games is such that Top-Insight International, a Taiwan-based firm that has the licence to market the product in Asia, has earned revenues in excess of Rs 100 crore in less than a year in the country.

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh fears these cartoon characters are corrupting Indian children, taking them away from their roots and religious-cultural icons like Lord Rama and Krishna.
