Tejpratap Yadav -- son of Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi and Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, won a motorcycle in a contest organised by a Hindi newspaper in Patna on Tuesday.

Tejpratap, 13, who is a cricket player, won the Hero Honda after scratching a card.

Thousands of people, mostly readers of Hindustan, took part in the contest.

A mobile phone and a washing machine were some of the prizes that were distributed.

A newspaper hawker, Aftabbuddin, handed over the motorcycle to Tejpratap.

Tejpratap said he had taken part in the contest earlier also, but had not won anything.

"When I decided to try my luck, my mother was reluctant. But she gave in," he added.

Tejpratap has a brother and seven sisters.
