Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit stormed out of a Congress party meeting on Tuesday after some ruling legislators criticised the functioning of her government.

The meeting was convened to discuss improvement in coordination between the ruling party and the state government.

Some unpleasant scenes marred it when some MLAs pointed out "faults" in the functioning of the government.

Within 15 minutes, a fuming Dikshit walked out of the meeting.

All her six Cabinet colleagues, MLAs, all members of Parliament from Delhi, All India Congress Committee general secretary in-charge of Delhi Ashok Gehlot and Janardhan Dwivedi attended the meeting.

Although the attack was on the government, Dikshit found herself isolated as none of her ministerial colleagues or MLAs walked out with her.

The ministers, however, later went to her residence and were closeted with her for some time.

Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee President Ram Babu Sharma, a known Dikshit baiter, criticised Dikshit's action saying the MLAs were only airing their views about the problems faced by the people.

He said the issue would be taken up with Congress president Sonia Gandhi to demand action.

"If the views of the MLAs are not heard by our own chief minister at the party's meeting, who else will listen to us," he said.
