Rashtriya Janata Dal workers on Friday protested against the attack on party chief and Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav by burning an effigy of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi.

Lalu's car was attacked by a mob when he visited the train accident site in Vadodara on Thursday.

Former Bihar chief minister Rabri Devi and RJD workers demanded dismissal of the Modi government and the imposition of President's rule in Gujarat.

RJD members carried out protests across the state, party sources said.

Senior RJD leader and former minister Shayam Rajak said the attack has exposed Modi as well as the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Lalu Prasad alleged that members of Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal were responsible for the attack as per Modi's instructions.
