Former Bihar chief minister Rabri Devi on Tuesday  filed her nomination papers for the Raghopur seat in the Vaishali district.

According to Rashtriya Janata Dal sources she had filed nomination papers without show and pump due to strict directives of the election commission.

She was accompanied by her husband, Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav. Her son was also with her at the time filing of her nomination. This was first time that her son was present in any political activity.

'UPA's chief ministerial candidate understood'

Rabri Devi is seeking a third consecutive term from Raghopur. Last time she won by over 26,000 votes.

After filing her papers, in an election meeting  she accused Lok Janshakti Party president Ramvilas Paswan of having a "tacit understanding" with the Bharatiya Janata Party and said he was trying to confuse Muslim voters by insisting on a Muslim chief minister.

Earlier Lalu had described Paswan  as an "agent" of the BJP. Paswan is helping the National Democratic Alliance by trying to split the secular votes, Lalu said.
