Home Minister Shivraj Patil was on Friday noncommital on the demand for recall of Bihar Governor Buta Singh, saying it was too early to take any decision without going through the Supreme Court judgement.
Asked whether the apex court's verdict was a setback to the Congress, Patil said "the judgement is before us....it depends from which angle you look at it."

Asked whether Buta Singh will be recalled, Patil said, "these momentous decisions are taken after due consideration of all aspects. We would not like to say anything against any individual or the judiciary at this stage.
The apex court judgement is there. Parliament also unanimously passed the resolution suspending the Bihar assembly, the Home Minister added.

Patil, who faced a volley of questions from the large media contingent covering the two-day conclave of Congress chief ministers, also emphasised that the verdict has to be discussed with ministerial colleagues.
The Home minister said that "generally speaking, and it is also the constitutional provision, that the governments have been abiding by the judgements given by the judiciary. And, they don't try to find fault with them."

"I do not have the text of the judgement. What has reached us is the order-the operative part of the judgement. Moreover, this is not a full-fledged judgement. It is an interim order. So, after going through the entire judgement and after understanding the reasoning given in it, only then would it be possible for us to speak on the judgement," he said.
