Charging Prime Minister Manmohan Singh with acting 'under pressure' to retain 'tainted' ministers, Bharatiya Janata Party president Lal Kishenchand Advani on Friday said the United Progressive Alliance government would fall due to 'inner contradictions'.
"The prime minister is acting under pressure... It is his compulsion to retain people charged with criminal offences in his ministry... It is because he wants to save his chair," Advani told an election rally.
He said the day was not far when the 'UPA government will fall due to the people's disillusionment with it'.
Charging Manmohan Singh with becoming a 'puppet' in the hands of tainted ministers, he said the UPA government was a failure on all fronts.
Advani voiced confidence that the National Democratic Alliance will win a majority on its own in the coming assembly polls in Bihar and would be able to give people a government committed to development, social harmony and uprooting corruption.
