The district officials in Buxar confirmed that an FIR was lodged against RJD Buxar district vice-president Kashi Nath Prasad and secretary Mukhtar Singh for holding a meeting beyond the permitted time. The meeting was organised on Tuesday and was to be addressed by Lalu and others at Dumraon.

The officials told rediff.com that another FIR may be registered against Lalu for addressing his election meeting beyond 10 pm ."Despite our warning that the time was late under model code of conduct, Lalu continued with his speech,"  the officials said.
