Indian flight returns due to technical snag

A Delhi-bound Indian flight with 29 passengers on board, including Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee, returned to the N S C Bose International Airport on Monday evening, within 15 minutes of take-off following a suspected technical fault.

All the 129 passengers on board IC-201 flight were safe and were being accommodated in another aircraft which would take off at 7:00 pm, a spokesman for Indian told PTI here.

He said the pilot noticed some technical problems during flight and sought permission from the ground control to land.   

The flight took off at 5.20 pm and returned at 5.35 pm. The spokesman said the aircraft would be used after repairs for a Mumbai flight.
