A day after the capital's air and road traffic went haywire due to dense fog, a sunny morning greeted Delhi on Thursday with a rise in minimum temperature and no flight disruptions.

The minimum temperature has risen almost by a degree, recording 9.9 degree celsius and there was no fog in the morning in complete contrast to Wednesday, when normal visibility was near zero-level.

The air traffic at the Indira Gandhi International Airport was normal and flights were on schedule.

The Runway Visibility Range was about 3,000 meter, an airport spokesperson said.

On Wednesday, in the early hours, the RVR was reduced to below 100 metres, prompting the authorities to either cancel some flights or divert to other destinations.

Railway sources said many trains were running behind schedule due to fog in other parts of northern India.

There is a possibility that the temperature may further dip during the day and but the minimum temperature is said to hover around seven degree celsius.
