Key accused in the multi-crore fake stamp paper case Abdul Karim Telgi, who was hospitalised Wednesday after he complained of chest pain, alleged that he has been "forcefully" discharged from hospital even though he was not feeling okay.

Telgi protested vehemently on being discharged from the Sassoon General Hospital where he was admitted in its intensive care unit ward after he complained of chest pain and given treatment, Telgi's lawyer Milind Pawar told reporters in Pune Wednesday evening.

"Telgi repeatedly kept saying that he was not okay and was mentally unfit, yet the hospital authorities gave him a discharge certificate and he was taken away by the police in a wheel-chair to his egg-shaped cell in the Yerwada Central Jail where he is lodged for the past three years," the lawyer said.

After his plea to make a confessional statement in a 1995 stamp seizure case in Mumbai was allowed by a special court there, Telgi was in the midst of recording his confessions since Monday last.

In the last two days of in-camera confession, which remains inconclusive, he has so far recorded some 83 pages of statement before the chief judicial magistrate of Pune.

His confession was expected to be over Wednesday.

However, because of his hospitalisation, he was not produced before the court during the day.
