Railway Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal supremo Lalu Prasad on Tuesday said that his party would launch a people's movement to expose the two-month Nitish Kumar-led government's failure to check the rising crime graph in the state.
As an important leader of the opposition party, Lalu said that RJD would expose the government's failure to live up to its promise made to the people to end crime.
Labelling Nitish 'Mr Sushahan', Lalu said, "According to reports in local newspapers, cases of kidnapping, murder, loot and other crimes have gone up high enough to set new records. The law and order situation is in shambles."
Claiming that the previous RJD government had been made a victim of a vilification campaign launched by 'communal and fascist' forces on the issues of development, law and order.
He also said that the RJD had always favoured reservation for backward classes, in proportion to their population and slammed the current government for allegedly 'shunting' officials who belong to minority or backward classes. He said that important posts are only being given to upper-caste officials.
