Ghulam Nabi Azad, Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, while condemning the terrorist attack on Jammu bus stand on Monday morning in which one person was killed and 31 injured, blamed the Bhartiya Janata Party for trying to give political colour to the incidents of Jammu and Kashmir.
After visiting the injured at the Jammu medical hospital Azad told newsmen that if the BJP leaders had not made provocative statements during their rallies in Jammu last week, the terrorists would not have responded in the manner they did.
Senior BJP leaders Vinay Katiyar and Sahib Singh Verma had offered to pay Rs 1 lakh to anyone who killed a terrorist.
"Such incidents keep happening but giving them a political colour to take advantage of the situation is not good," Azad said.
In Delhi Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, senior BJP leader, dubbed Azad's charge as baseless and absurd." It is surprising and shocking that instead of fighting terrorism and terrorists chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir has sought to fight nationalism and nationalist forces. We would be well advised to do his job then accuse the BJP of any wrong doing," he said.
