Bharatiya Jana Shakti president Uma Bharti will campaign against Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Shahnawaz Hussain in by elections for Bhagalpur lok sabha seat.

"I will campaign for Pradeep Joshi, who is backed by my party in Bhagalpur by elections and appeal people not to vote for BJP or Shahnawaz and defeat him," Uma Bharti told newspersons in Patna on Friday before leaving for Bhagalpur to campaign.

Uma Bharti said that Joshi is contesting Bhagalpur by-elections as true representative of Hinduvta force unlike "nakli" BJP's Shahnawaz.

When asked about her party defeat in by polls in Madhya Pradesh, she downplayed it by saying that one or two results hardly matter.

She said opportunist and power seekers dominate BJP, but in her party there are only genuine devotees of Lord Ram.
