On the controversial CD issue, the party demanded a public apology by Bharatiya Janata Party leaders Atal Bihar Vajpayee, L K Advani and Rajnath Singh for hurting the sentiments of Muslims.
"The judgement of the Allahabad High Court holding that Muslims are no minorities is not acceptable. We will go for appeal and if need be, press for a law in Parliament," party General Secretary Amar Singh told reporters in New Delhi.
His reaction came at a time when the state government filed a review petition in the Allahabad High Court against its order.
Suggesting that the date of the hearing was not fixed and it came all of a sudden, Singh recalled that the same judge had passed an order against the minority character of the Aligarh Muslim University.
On the CD issue, he said that the BJP thought of such a propaganda as its attempts to revive the Ayodhya issue failed to materialise.
Replying to questions on the OBC quota logjam, he said his party was for taking all measures required to get backward communities their due and if any law was needed, the party would fully back its passage.
