Parliamentary Affairs Minister P R Dasmunsi told a press conference that the government would abide by whatever decision the Presiding Officers of both Houses of Parliament take on the nature and form of any discussion.
He said no decision has been taken whether Prime Minister Manmohan Singh would make a suo motu statement in Parliament on the issue.
The BJP has given notice in the Lok Sabha for a discussion on the deal under Rule 184 which entails voting.
Dasmunsi said as many as 25 Bills, including the Unorganised Workers Social Security Bill and the Unaided Private Educational Institutions (Reservation of Seats in Admission and Fee) Bill, would be introduced during the session with the two bills getting priority.
Of these bills, four including one concerning the AIIMS and on prohibition of advertisements on cigarettes and other tobacco products would come up for consideration and passing.
Twenty five other Bills are scheduled to be taken up for consideration and passing which included the Seeds Bill as also the Banking Regulation (Amendment) Bill.
The controversial Foreign University Bill, which has come under the Left fire, is not slated in the session.
The Parliamentary Affairs Minister said he would hold a meeting of chief whips of all parties on August nine while Speaker Somnath Chatterjee would interact with leaders of various political parties on August nine, 11 and 12.
The month-long session will have a total of 23 sittings but the first day would see adjournment after paying obituary to former Prime Minister Chandrasekhar and JD(U) member Ajit Singh.
