Air traffic at the international and domestic airports remained disrupted for the fourth consecutive day as dense fog resulted in poor visibility.

From midnight till 6.30 am on Wednesday, eight international and 13 domestic flights had to be diverted as visibility was less than 50 meters, said an airport official.

He said that only CAT III enabled flights were operational.

However, visibility improved as the day progressed.

"Since 6.30 am all the flights are on schedule and the runway visibility has improved to 1500 mt and 2000 mt," added the official.

As many as 36 in-coming flights and 50 departures were cancelled at the IGI Airport since midnight, with the runway visibility dipping to around 100 metres at times, the spokesman said.
