Bhartiya Janata Party, which slammed the West Bengal government for packing off Taslima Nasreen unceremoniously on Thursday, failed to explain why the controversial Bangladeshi author was shifted from Jaipur after she landed there on Thursday night.
"We are not here to score political points. Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje did not even know that that she was coming to Jaipur, otherwise she would have made arrangements for Nasreen to stay there," BJP leader Sushma Swaraj said in response to a question from rediff.com during her daily briefing in Parliament House on Friday.
Nasreen is currently in Delhi under heavy security provided by the Intelligence Bureau.
The BJP leaders alleged that the Communist Party of India Marxist had used the aircraft of an industrialist to shift her from Kolkatta to Jaipur. While a television channel revealed that Taslima was in Jaipur, she was forced to stay at an ordinary hotel as the five-star hotels refused to accommodate her.
