MLAs from the Opposition AIADMK were suspended for the rest of the monsoon session when they created a ruckus in the Tamil Nadu Assembly on Thursday.

The MLAs shouted slogans and created chaotic scenes when Tamil Nadu local administration minister M K Stalin's raised a privilege issue in the state assembly against AIADMK supremo Jayalalithaa.

Stalin said that Jayalalithaa had charged him with plotting to kill her before the next assembly elections. It has become customary for Jayalalithaa to level such allegations, he said, adding that she should come forward to prove it.

"I am ready to face Jayalalithaa's allegations in court," he said and sought permission from the Speaker to move a privilege issue against Jayalalithaa, Jaya TV and two eveningers, Makkal Kural and Namathu MGR.

Stalin's speech was hardly audible as AIADMK members kept on shouting slogans and creating chaotic scenes. They rushed close to Speaker R Avudaiappan's podium and continued their tirade while Stalin was speaking.

Immediately after Stalin finished his speech, the Speaker ordered the eviction of all AIADMK MLAs from the house. There were unruly scenes as the MLAs refused to do so and assaulted the security personnel who tried to remove them.

An AIADMK MLA picked up the cap of a sergeant and threw it on the Speaker's table, while another tried to climb on to the Speaker's table. The MLAs also pushed the table while being evicted. Unruly scenes continued in the lobby too, where the AIADMK MLAs clashed with the security personnel once again. They also raised slogans against them. Later, a resolution was moved in the house, suspending all the AIADMK MLAs for the rest of the monsoon session.
