Bihar: Naxals attack police station, kill 4 cops

At least five persons, including four policemen, were killed and three injured on Sunday evening when cadres of the Communist Party of India-Maoist attacked the police station at Jajha railway station in Bihar's Munger district. The Maoists looted the entire stock of  arms and ammunition from the police station.

"Maoists attacked Jajha railway station and killed some policemen on duty," Railway Superintendent of Police Vimal Kumar told rediff.com.

According to police sources in Jajha, five people, including four Government Railway Police personnel and a railway official, were killed in the attack.

Sources said that the injured policemen, including the officer in charge of the Jajha police station, had been admitted to the local hospital.

Kumar said that top district officials as well as railway officials had rushed to the spot. "We can give more information about the incident only after reaching the site," he said.
