The Jammu and Kashmir BJP today alleged that any alliance between the Congress and National Conference can be dangerous for the state.

"These two parties in eighties had proved devastating and given birth to armed militancy which had heavily cost the people of the state and also the entire country," party leader Chaman Lal Gupta said, referring to the Congress-NC coalition during that period.

Reacting to reports that NC president Omar Abdullah could be the next chief minister, Gupta alleged that both these "dynastic" parties were out to damage the democratic fabric.

"Both these parties have been assailing the rule of maharajas in the state as being dynastic but now both of these are perpetrating worst form of dynastic rule under the garb of democracy," he said at a victory rally in Jammu west assembly constituency, where from he was elected.

Gupta had defeated a dozen candidates, including former deputy chief minister Mangat Ram Sharma.

He claimed that the rise of the party from one member in the last assembly to eleven now would provide political strength to the forces of nationalism.

The BJP leader said that the party will fight in and outside the legislature to undo all "injustices of disproportionate creation of assembly constituencies under communal and regional bias" coupled with the embargo for having no delimitation of constituencies in the state till 2026.
