Elated at the news of the likely arrest of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray, some people celebrated holi in Patna on Tuesday.

The Mumbai Police has registered a FIR against Thackeray for making provocative statements against North Indians.

Dozens of people took to the streets to celebrate the news of Thackeray's likely arrest.

"We are playing with colours to celebrate the likely police action against Raj Thackeray, who made a mockery of the Chhath festival and made remarks against Biharis," said student leader Manoranjan Singh, while playing with dry colours at the busy Dak Bungalow square in Patna.

Many people, including businessmen, government employees, students and small time politicians, joined Singh in his celebrations. They shouted slogans against Raj Thackeray and demanded his immediate arrest.

Incidents of violence against North Indians, allegedly perpetrated by MNS activists, started in Mumbai on February 3 after Thackeray launched a verbal tirade against the community.
