Curfew lifted in Jammu July 25, 2008 15:18 IST
Authorities had clamped curfew on Thursday in view of high tension following the suicide of an activist of Sangharsh Samiti, the organisation spearheading the agitation against revocation of the land transfer to the Amarnath shrine board. At least 27 persons, including 12 policemen, were injured on Thursday as the police clashed with protesters during the bandh. Bandari said the police and CRPF forces had been deployed in the city, particularly in sensitive areas, and all exit and entry points in the area were being monitored.
