Parents of nine-year-old Sintu want their son back. They believe that the boy, who was found abandoned by the London police few days ago, was indeed their son. Sintu was kidnapped three years ago from Aurangabad town in Bihar.
Ganga Prasad and his wife Bindia Devi had given up hopes of finding their son. But when a couple of television channels flashed photographs of an abandoned boy, the couple were convinced that it was their son Sintu.
"We are hundred percent sure, he is our Sintu," Ganga Prasad told rediff.com.
Sintu's uncle Gaya Prasad said the boy was six-years-old when he kidnapped from outside his residence in Kikri locality of the town on March 3, 2005. Three days later, the police lodged a kidnapping case. Till date, the cops have not been able to make any breakthrough in the case.
Ganga Prasad said he received a call on Sunday from his brother-in-law in Orissa informing that he had seen Sintu on television news channels. The couple then cross-checked the news reports and realised that it was indeed their son.
"We are not mad to say that the boy found in London is our Sintu. He is our Sintu," Ganga Prasad said.
Though the boy found by London police was wearing a turban, Ganga Prasad and his family members assert that the boy's facial features match with those of Sintu..
The family has sought the help of the state and Central government in this connection.
Sintu is nephew of Rashtriya Janata Dal legislator (MLC) Bhim Singh.
When contacted, Singh said he had requested Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Bihar DGP A R Sinha to help bring the boy back from London. He suspected that Sintu may have been sold off to a childless NRI couple by the kidnappers.
