Slain British teenage girl Scarlette Eden Keeling's body was brought to Mumbai from Goa on Thursday evening, more than a month after she was found dead on Anjuna Beach in the tourist state.

Scarlette's body will be taken to the UK early next week, where her mother Fiona Mackeown plans to conduct a third forensic examination.

"I will be reaching Mumbai on Sunday along with Fiona and will be addressing a press conference there," Varma told PTI.

The undertaker Elroy Norona, appointed on recommendation of the British Deputy High Commission, declined to reveal the location where he will be keeping the body for the next three to four days, though reports said it has been taken to suburban Bandra's Bhabha Hospital.

Goa authorities have conducted two forensic examinations on the girl's body. Two locals - barman Samson D'Souza and alleged drug dealer Placido Carvalho - have been arrested for allegedly drugging and raping the 15-year-old before leaving her to die in the shallow waters on the beach.
