Four bank robbers were beaten to death and another seriously injured by local villagers in Bihar's Buxar district on Friday afternoon, police sources said.

"Four bank robbers were beaten to death by villagers and two were arrested by the police," Buxar SP A K Jain told rediff.com.

He said three bank robbers were beaten to death and another seriously injured succumbed later when they were decamping with booty looted from a SBI branch at Chausa in Buxar.
