Former union law minister and Bharatiya Janata Party leader Arun Jaitley has questioned the intention of the Centre in communalising the situation arising out of Malegoan blasts.

The Maharashtra police is investigating the Malegoan and has arrested Lt. Col Purhohit, Dayanand Pande and Sadhvi Pragya for their alleged involvement in the Malegoan blasts along with other persons.

"Sadhvi and other accused persons have been booked under MCOCA but those who killed a police officer in Batla House have not been booked under a stringent act. Is it not communalising the situation," Jaitley asked.

He accused the Centre and particularly ATS of bringing "bad name to Hindus by talking of Hindu terrorism whereas the truth is that Hindus are suffering at the hands of terrorism from across the border".

"I would like to know why accused persons like Sadhvi Pragya are being time and again subjected to narco tests while those arrested in the Batla House case have been allowed to go scot-free," he said.

When asked how the BJP would fare in the coming Assembly elections, Jaitley was upbeat about the party's performance.

"All that I can say at the moment is that the mood is BJP-friendly. As far as Delhi is concerned, we are going to form the government. I am told that the investigations in Batla house have been stopped," he added.
